Moms by Design

This project deserved its own post because it's a new achievement.

A friend of mine echoed what my grandmother has been saying, which is that if I don't have place for finished projects and no one to gift them to... I could sell them. She has much the same problem, so we have decided to collaborate and try to make this wild notion a reality. We are crafting projects that will be available for sale soon, including requested personalization if called for by the client (and the project).

I'll post the Etsy site when we have it up and running so wish us Luck!

In a rare moment of Silence, it's time to update...

Things have been crazy the past two months, what with the holidays especially.
We have a huge, local family. This is normally a good thing, but this year the schedules got all messed up with who was supposed to be where when and it all had to be unraveled and re-knit back into place. Add on that I try to make gifts, bring food, assemble the children (including my husband on that since he'd forgotten to turn off my poor car's headlights, meaning we had to jump the battery On Christmas Eve!) and make sure they were presentable for what turned into three events... not everything got done.
As I mentioned in the last post, I was working on Paulette from Plum Street Sampler's Christmas Sampler - one was a gift intended for my mom and the other I hadn't decided. Well... I got too attached to the black one and had to make an attempt to quickly finish the other. Didn't happen (haha) so she'll get it when it's done, hopefully soonish. I bought fudge... and forgot it at home both days. We went out for my birthday... forgot the pumped MommyMilk for BooBoo, who has therefore been introduced to the idea of formula and dubbed it "poison".
Also in this time has begun what I like to term "Two and Teething." Peanut is having moments where I almost swear all other two-year-olds' angst channels into her poor body and making my super sweet and loving angel into the brattiest brat that ever brat. BooBoo is 5 months and 'chewy' with super hard gums and no teeth in sight. *sigh* Discovered Rested - a rewrite for parents of "Royals" yesterday - totally there (and in the comments over there, more links of "awesome" parenting stages)

On the gaming front, we picked up Assassin's Creed 4. I just finished Sequence 4, and Ryuu has finished the whole thing and is working on multiplayer while waiting for the social events to ... debug. Apparently there is one that even if you clear an event, sometimes it won't clear the marker off your map and therefore won't spawn new ones. Very frustrating.
Peanut downloaded Animal Crossing: New Leaf to my 2DS so now I have a town called Serenity (Dream Address 5600-3279-6686) and my Pokemon X - though sitting in my DS - is only half way done. And when I've gotten any "spare" time, I've been trying to find a memory card that walked off somewhere - an adventure, especially when you have the kids to bed and  Really Want to Play That One Game Noooooow... oh well.
So Twilight Princess has had little progress therefore - just got the Master Sword and saved, thankful to get That far.

Watching Let's Players on Youtube (because it's funny when they are playing together) has been good for kicking back and trying to contain the Present-splosion. We also loved the new Dr Who episodes and are watching the new Sherlock every week. The meantime is used trying to watch Stargate, a pastime greatly aided with the Christmas gift of the first 4 seasons~! Woohoo!

Progress Bar:
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess - Master Sword Unlocked
Final Fantasy XII - Power Leveling before Continuing Storyline (same place)
Sunday Mystery Sampler - on the last week of black, not really tracking by weeks on white but done with angels and going for Mary and Joseph (I'm doing two, one with each pattern - black is MSII, White is MS)
Peanut's - ~22%? (middle Bunny and block done, headed around to the bottom one using the ribbon )
BooBoo's - not started

Let's Play channels I'm watching: Versus and TheRunawayGuys
