Pressing "New Game"

So far, this blogging thing has been a lot harder to keep up with than I thought it might be. I've tried twice before, but like any other adventure game, sometimes the best thing to do is pluck out the long forgotten cartridge or disk, slap in a new memory card, and try again.

So maybe a little about me to start - As the title of the blog suggests, I'm a young mom who loves to craft and play video games. And when I say "craft" ... I pretty much do it all. I cross stitch, knit, write, sew, quilt (a little; I'm not very good yet), draw (also a little), am trying to teach myself to crochet (. . .very much a WIP)... Right now, my main cross stitch projects are my daughters' birth samplers and this Sunday Mystery Samper
I like to play Hidden Object games and RPGs (role playing games) for the most part. My favorites are the Final Fantasy and Zelda series on console, as well as the Dark Parables series on PC. However, I do have a special fondness for Pokemon and Assassin's Creed, so maybe my Christmas will have a surprise. Fingers crossed!
All that being said, my favorite "craft" and favorite "job" is being Mommy to my girls. Peanut is nearly two, and BooBoo is just over two months. And much as I love doing the other, mommy-only things, there are many times when naptime is shorter than you'd like or you realize a pattern has grown legs and wandered off... and that's ok (most of the time... and when it's not, it's because they've done something dangerous).

Progress Bar:
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess - Fire Temple Miniboss (have to run back through the temple to reach it again)
Final Fantasy XII - Power Leveling before Continuing Storyline
Sunday Mystery Sampler - about to do Week 3 on black, Week 2 on white (I'm doing two, one with each pattern - black is MSII, White is MS - but not feeling too bad since I started 2 weeks behind anyway)
Peanut's - ~20%? (middle Bunny and block done, headed around to the bottom one using the ribbon )
BooBoo's - not started
